AR: Do you keep tabs on art trends or are you all about doing your own thing?
Not that I’m conscious of, if anything I have always been more interested in past art trends and techniques. I’m probably about fifty years behind at this point.
AR: What/who are your biggest influences? Artists or otherwise
20th century popular culture, popular music, company branding, European comics.
AR: What did it feel like when you sold your first artwork?
It was f***ing amazing. Aside from the financial gain, that’s sadly essential in these modern capitalist times, the fact that someone firstly likes your work enough to want to own it but secondly are willing to give you their hard earned money for it, it’s the ultimate compliment.
AR: How have you developed your style?
By constantly working and creating.
AR: Describe your art style in three words.
Contemporary pop art.
AR: What is your workspace set up like? Are you in a studio/do you work alongside others/are you at a laptop or freehand
My workspace is a studio at my home where I create all of my paintings and preparatory work. But I produce my screenprints at a couple of other galleries and studios in North East London where I’m usually alongside other artists.
