By collaging with cut-out figures from the 1950s and placing them within bold modern interiors, Charlie creates a striking visual paradox between the intimate space of the home and the isolated nature of his figures. We love how Charlie’s dynamic artworks create a sense of discord and displacement by combining anachronism and bold colour with subtle references outwards to the wider art world.

Since graduating from Goldsmiths with a BA (Hons) in Design, Charlie has exhibited internationally, with his work featuring alongside Blue Chip artists such as Tracey Emin and Banksy. Initially influenced by a number of artists ranging from British to American Pop Artists and YBA Damien Hirst, Charlie hopes to challenge the views of all those that see his work. Charlie’s work has been exhibited internationally in galleries such as the Florence Contemporary Gallery, Italy, and his first solo exhibition Illusional Reality was held at the Private and Public Gallery in Jersey in 2021. Charlie was also one of five winners of the Unsigned Prize for Illustration awarded by Bartle Bogle Hegarty in 2020.

We’ve been working with Charlie Haydn Taylor since 2021.
