Linda Charles is a Hertfordshire-based artist with a career spanning 25 years. Linda is constantly developing new ideas and has produced abstract and design works as well as artworks that fuse the abstract with real-life imagery. Having trained in textiles and fashion at Herriot Watt University in Scotland, her background remains evident in the artworks she produces today, from the heavy textures to combinations of media that include gold and silver leaf.

We love how Linda juxtaposes familiar lyrics and phrases with vintage imagery, creating new meanings, stories, and personalities for the characters she has plucked from the past. Linda describes how the idea of her collages came to her: 'The first one I came across featured a stunning woman running from a pair of headlights following her in a remote area - Immediately ‘Born to Run’ by Bruce Springsteen played in my head and the concept was born! I have so much fun with these collections because they combine the two artistic concepts of audio and visual. I’ve received so many lovely comments from all walks of life, whether that be from famous songwriters to future brides or just pure music lovers and art collectors.’
