Born in 1977 in Palmanova, Italy, Alan De Cecco’s passion for artistic expression led him to study Architecture and Design before settling in London, where he currently works as artist. Since 1993, he has embarked on a global artistic journey, embellishing walls worldwide with his dynamic and weightless artworks. SODA’s creations consist of floating geometric fragments, merging, colliding, or moving away from each other, much like the scattered pieces of an object caught in an explosion. With a meticulous understanding of how sunlight interacts with different surfaces, SODA expertly manipulates shadows using black paint and a precise low-pressure technique, resulting in an enchanting visual illusion of depth.
