Playing with the boundaries between drawing and painting, her work often uses collaged elements to link the two. Her sense for colour is instinctive and comes from her own experience of synaesthesia, in which sounds and tastes have their own corresponding colour identity.
Stevens was Artist in Residence at the oldest outdoor swimming pool in the UK, Pells Pool, Lewes. A self-taught artist, she is now doing an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art.Read less
