Little Fish Design establishes a unique and witty relationship between ostentatious portraiture and mundane food packaging, creating a true blend of high and low art with his eclectic and entertaining compositions. Little Fish Design has always admired the work of Robert Rauschenberg and Peter Blake and is inspired by the unconventional use of cultural references and commercialised products within their artworks. They take this inspiration as a starting point and play with it further by creating fantastical contemporary pastiches that appeal to the viewer’s sense of humour.

Little Fish Design Facts

Little Fish Design grew up in a family of advertisers and so was exposed to all sorts of art from a young age.

We love the light-hearted amalgamation of the classical and contemporary, bringing together renaissance-inspired portraiture with advertising icons.

Little Fish Design's 'Product Placement Project' features traditionally dressed and painted figures adorned in contemporary product packaging.

Little Fish Design says their work developed partly through “growing up in an advertising family where I was always exposed to all sorts of art from a very young age.”

Little Fish Design's 'Instant Whip' was on display at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition 2022 in London.

He likes to combine disparate imagery and materials to create eclectic, playful and amusing pieces. Often using discarded sweet wrappers and packaging to generally achieve a wholly disarming effect, one that he likes to think belies the quiet and contemplative aesthetic with which his work is ultimately informed by. Working as both an artist and graphic designer he’s interested in the overlap of both disciplines.  We're so pleased to introduce Little ...
