Hannah is an abstract artist currently living and working in Wiltshire, UK. Her experimental paintings overwhelm the senses and unsettle the eye, creating an aura of chaotic activity, both seen and obscured.

Beautiful yet macabre, Hannah’s works are complex and ambiguous, with these emotional conflicts fighting for attention on the canvas. We love how Hannah creates experimental works that defy all form and sense of space. Her work is a pure form of creativity that refuses to follow any rules. Hannah spent much of her childhood abroad travelling with her family as a result of her father’s job, resulting in permanent feelings of rootlessness and a love of freedom and movement without boundaries. After achieving a BA in Art and Visual Culture from the University of West England, Hannah worked as a photographer in London until 2013 before transitioning into painting professionally in 2019. Her work has been sold in the UK and internationally and she has recently been included in several exhibitions, including Ty Pawb Open, the SFSA Painting Open and participated in the Other Art Fair in London. She recently won the VAA Scholarship and International Exhibition Prize and was shortlisted for last year’s Visual Art Open Prize. We’ve been working with Hannah Thomas since 2021.
We love how Hannah creates experimental works that defy all form and sense of space. Her work is a pure form of creativity that refuses to follow any rules. Hannah spent much of her childhood abroad travelling with her geologist father. These feelings of rootlessness and familiarity with the title of ‘outsider’ trickle down into Hannah’s work. By allowing her personal emotions to dictate the outcome of each artwork, Anna creates emotive gestural artworks.
