RIBBONED BALLOON DOG (Otto Schade x Whatshisname) is the product of a collaboration between Otto Schade and Whatshisname, combining the two artists' distinctive artistic styles in a hand painted resin sculpture.
I started painting my kind of stencil art, mainly sunset style, but so many people started comparing my art with Banksy’s work. At that point I came up with my ribbon style, because it’s very unique and recognisable.

Otto Schade is a Chilean-born artist who combines surrealism and street art to great effect. With an artistic style fluctuating between the boundaries of surrealism and abstract, the themes for his works are generally related to the artist’s private stories, offering a unique insight into his dreams and obsessions, as well as political issues and pop culture.
Otto Schade is a Chilean-born artist who combines surrealism and street art to great effect. With an artistic style fluctuating between the boundaries of surrealism and abstract, the themes for his works are generally related to the artist’s private stories, offering a unique insight into his dreams and obsessions, as well as political issues and pop culture.
We love how Otto is heavily influenced by past Art movements and still pays homage to traditional art techniques in his work. Working mainly with oil paint and traditional supports such as stretched canvas, he also practices other techniques such as collage, illustration and stencil. Otto studied architecture at the Bio University of Chile. He went on to become a very successful architect, gaining awards for his work. After moving to London, Otto became heavily inspired by the city's street art scene, especially in Shoreditch. Finding a way to combine his love of art and architecture, Otto developed his famous ribbon style. Otto has exhibited his work across the UK and Europe, as well as the USA, Africa and Asia.

How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?
We aim to dispatch unframed artwork within 7 working days of receiving your order. Postage within the UK takes around 1-3 working days. Custom framed items are usually dispatched within 21 working days of receiving your order. For more information, see our delivery page.
What is your returns policy?
Once you receive your artwork, you have 14 days to return it and get a full refund if you're not happy. If you would like to return an artwork, please contact us first at support@artrepublic.com. It is your responsibility to cover the return postage. Our returns' policy excludes items that are hand-made to order, such as artwork that has been framed, purchased as part of a timed release, or commissioned. These can only be returned if they are faulty.
How much does delivery cost?
UK delivery is free on orders over £100. Framed artworks cost £15 and we can only ship these within the UK. We also offer pick up from our studio. Worldwide delivery is dependent on location. For more information on delivery costs, head to our delivery page.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro. We also accept payment via PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna. We also offer financing through Own Art. Payment will be taken as soon as your order has been placed.
Can I get my artwork framed?
Yes! We work with a network of expert framers, and you can add a selection of frames to an artwork on the artwork page. Please see our framing page for more details, as well as information on additional styles that we can offer.
