Available in three sizes, 'Joshua Tree' has been created via a complex layering process that combines photography with inks, gold leaf and paints, resulting in a beautiful, dreamlike utopia that reflects the artist's imagination. While the basis for the landscape is the Joshua Tree National Park in California, where the original photographs were taken, it is Nadia’s unique technique that brings the artwork to life. The piece is part of Nadia’s ongoing Botanical Series.
“I feel at my best in nature,” says Nadia of her dreamlike scenes. “It is restorative, energising, calming, soothing, meditative – there is something about being in the green, or by the sea or in a desert landscape that makes you feel like you have come home.”

Attura uses analogue and digital photographs taken on location on her travels around the world. Her meticulous collaging combines unexpected elements, resulting in dreamy scenes that explore idealism and paradise, accentuated by Attura’s enriched colour palette, which adds a touch of the absurd to her compositions. The artist later applies washes, paints, ink and chalk to her works, which imbues them with an illustrative feel. Press features include The Guardian, The New York Times, and artist of the month for Vogue Magazine. One of five finalists at the VAO, Attura’s work continues to delight viewers and feature in prominent residential and public projects across the world.
