Metal Cube by Ben Eine
Metal is a sculpture from influential artist Ben Eine. Crafted from mild steel, the piece is from a limited edition of 100 and is signed by the artist.

Originally a writer, Ben Eine is now one of London's most prolific artists, specialising in typographical art. The archetype of contemporary UK street-art, Eine's 21st Century City was famously gifted to Barack Obama by David Cameron in 2010, and can be seen daily on his canvas of choice: the walls and shutters of shops around London. His work is a celebration of font and graphics - of the shapes, curves, colours and lines, and the beauty therein.

Metal takes Eine's love of the letter off the canvas and into the world of sculptural art, where he has created a perfect cube from mild steel, finished with an oxidised pattina, each face emblazoned with an elaborately etched letter E. Eine's work has always centred around the relationship between language and materiality, and 'Metal' explores innovative avenues for materialising typography. A truly unique work of contemporary art.

About The Artist - Ben Eine

Ben lives and works in London, UK and is a pioneer in the exploration of contemporary typography art. We love the way he employs bold colours in his letterform artworks. It is evident his background as a graffiti writer influences his current typographic style.

Ben’s artwork is held in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum London, The Museum of Modern Art Los Angeles, San Francisco’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Berlin’s Urban Nation Street Art Museum, Los Angeles ‘Beyond The Streets’ and The Dean Collection. Additionally, his work is held in the private collection of Louis Vuitton, with whom he collaborated with during the launch of his clothing brand, Eine London, during London Fashion Week.

We’ve been working with Ben Eine since 2016.
