Our Notes
Apotheosis is the third artwork in artist Dan Stirling’s hyperrealist triptych ‘The Great British Summer’. Produced using coloured pencil, the artwork depicts a series of random discarded objects in meticulous, painstaking detail. By focusing on the detritus of everyday life, Dan draws our attention to the problems of consumerism and the issues associated with mass production. Dan’s work is inspired by the old masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods and resembles the popular momento mori art form—a reminder of the fleeting nature of life.
We love Dan’s ability to find beauty in even the most mundane objects. His artworks can be displayed alone or grouped together to produce a striking gallery wall.

We love his innovative and modern take on traditional Still Life painting that is remarkably fresh. Dan’s hyper-realistic paintings are meticulous in their detail; a constant reminder of the fleeting nature of mass-produced consumerist objects. Dan has worked with commercial clients such as John Lob and is one of our favourite artists to follow on Instagram because of his constant flow of engaging content. Many of his drawings and paintings take many months to complete, which is a testament to his artistic focus and diligence. We've been working with Dan Stirling since 2021.
