Yellow, Gray, Black, 1948 by Jackson Pollock
Jackson Pollock is an art icon of Abstract Expressionism, who revolutionized the world of modern art with his unique abstract painting techniques. In fact, by the mid 1940s, Jackson Pollock introduced his famous 'drip paintings', marked by the use of sticks, trowels, or knives to drip and splatter paint onto his art prints.
This would allow John Pollockwould to add depth to his art prints and this new way of painting went onto represent one of the most original bodies of work of the century, and forever altered the course of American art. Unfortunately, Jackson Pollock suffered from alcoholism, and prematurely died at the age of 44 in an alcohol-related single-car accident when he was driving.
Several months after his death, many exhibitions of his work were held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and at The Tate in London. His art prints remain popular to this day and at artrepublic, you can enjoy Jackson Pollock posters.
