Walt's Revenge 3D Lenticular - Yellow by Paul Jackson

Walt's Revenge 3D Lenticular - Yellow is a Lenticular Print by contemporary artist Paul Jackson. From a limited edition of 135, the print is signed and numbered by the artist.

Paul Jackson is known for his sci-fi drawings, which fuse the natural with the supernatural for a visionary aesthetic. His style is typified by a meticulous attention to detail, merging genres to create unique forms: the painterly surrealism of Dali meets the urban graffiti styles of Banksy, with all the dry humour of postmodern Pop.

A huge Mickey Mouse head casts its shadow over a creamy yellow backdrop, but this Disney emblem has seen better days: the surfaces are fading from its wire-frame ears and vandals have gilded the face with layers of graffiti tag. A cut-away reveals the inner workings of Mick's mind: Walt is inside, pad and pen in hand, ready to jack it all in: 'Fuck it. I'm done' he jots, taking a final swig of whiskey as he prepares to abandon his brain-child for good.

About The Artist - Paul Jackson

Paul currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada, but grew up in Brighton, England. He is particularly inspired by popular culture and the intermix between surreal and sci-fi, natural and supernatural, and is also keenly interested in technology and its failings.

We love the way he approaches Surrealism with recognizable characters from popular culture. His detailed drawings and playful ideas showcase the way he flips the world to fit his artistic vision.

While Paul constantly creates artworks for his own collectors, he also creates art for the music and film industry. His clients include 20th Century Fox, Universal, Blink 182, and ancestry.com. His incredibly detailed artworks often resemble anatomical peepholes into a distant world. From the age of five, Paul was fascinated by drawing and sketches of animals, an aspect which carries into his current style.

We’ve been working with Paul Jackson since 2019.
