About The Artist - Venus and the Cat

Katie and Tom, founders of Venus & the Cat, have been passionate about street art for over 20 years, and have collected many pieces for their home. Both avid plant enthusiasts (they have over 60 indoor plants) a chance search for indoor pots led us to realise there was a gap for stylish, artistic, premium pots and homeware, and Venus & the Cat was born.


Katie comes to Venus & the Cat after working for an artificial intelligence technology company and now multitasking as a mum of two toddlers whilst being the founder of a successful brand designing products for new mums at East London Baby Co. Katie’s love of street art was cemented after having her back spray-painted backstage at Nass festival 2008 by a member of a street art crew.

Tom comes to Venus & the Cat via 20 years working in publishing, writing and in media agencies, working with some of the worlds biggest brands. His love of street art was sparked at a chance meeting with the rare kind crew back in 2003 and a night spent in the Prince Albert, Brighton, discussing the value of graffiti in London and LA with David Soul.
