ARTIST STORY
Michael Spencer Jones became interested in photography from an early age but developed a strong passion for the art whilst studying the great American photographers of the 20th century. Michael Spencer Jones studied photography and film at the Bournemouth & Poole college of Art, after graduating with a Distinction he then moved to Manchester where he became involved in the ‘Madchester’ music scene.

Michael Spencer Jones is one of the best known rock photographers in recent history, spending five years with Oasis, capturing their meteoric rise to super stardom. As well as working within the music industry, Michael has also captured many famous faces with his simple yet emotive style of portraiture.
