Olivier Rizzo, aka ‘Speedy Graphito’, is a French painter, and known as one of the pioneers of the French “Street Art” movement. By imposing a powerful, innovative style in the early 1980s, Speedy Graphito influenced a generation of urban artists, with colour - and a graphics style which became known as “Style Graphito.”
His graffiti, executed with stencils or with a brush, incorporates schematic and dynamic characters of popular culture – particularly Disney characters - thus he often turns a critical eye on our society, and our perceptions of societal systems. Creating a universal language that infuses the cultural landscape, Speedy Graphito’s art prints and street art murals can be found worldwide.
