ARTIST STORY
Guy is a draughtsman and printmaker who lives and works between his studios in Norfolk and London. His beautifully detailed prints experiment with vivid stripes of colour that offset his delicate etchings of animals, creating a unique amalgamation of old and new influences that captivate the eye.

We love how Guy’s experimental take on draughtsmanship pays homage to the historic printing press whilst breathing new life into the antiquated trade, firmly cementing Guy’s work in the contemporary art sphere. Guy discovered his passion for traditional etching and printing techniques whilst at the École Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2010, and he has never looked back. After graduating from Central St Martins School of Art in the following year, Guy trained as an assistant print maker at Curwen Studios, where he mastered a variety of printing techniques. Guy has exhibited his work worldwide from Dubai to New York, and his prints are housed in private collections in cities such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. In 2013 and 2014, Guy had the privilege of participating in the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition, and in 2018 he received the Diana Brooks Prize at the Mall Galleries. We’ve been working with Guy Allen since 2018.
