Robert lives and works in London, UK. The self taught artist draws inspiration from both Mark Rothko and Anthony Gormley and creates contemporary, stark landscape paintings and prints inhabited by tiny figures.
We love the way he often incorporates spray paint into his paintings, with the artist stating, “The idea of using street material in a more traditional way appeals to me.” His use of cool tones in greys and black appeal to the viewer’s imagination. Robert did not pursue art full time until he gifted a friend with an original painting for their birthday. As a teenger he created street art with his friends around London. A source of inspiration for his artwork comes from his deep introspection, attempting to create artwork that is accessible and thought provoking for a wide audience. We’ve been working with Robert Owen Bloomfield since 2019.
