'Rain' is a typographic hand printed screenprint which depicts a little man standing in the right hand corner looking up on a matt grey background with the text 'When it rains it pours' written very subtly amongst raindrops. This piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
I have always liked patterns and grids. Even as a kid I would paint patterns all the time. I am quite a collector and definitely not a minimalist, so maybe it’s a way of creating some order. Using text with image is definitely from my graphic design background.

Bladbjerg's thought-provoking artworks capture the joys of everyday life on a smaller scale. We love the way Bladbjerg captures hidden beauty, finding it in even the most mundane of settings and how she often creates her work by incorporating unusual, and recycled, materials. After attending Kent Institute of Art and Design, Bladbjerg graduated from London College of Printing with a degree in Graphic and Media Design. She has exhibited in Denmark, Belgium, Finland, France, Brooklyn, USA, and across the UK. She works as a full-time visual artist and a freelance graphic designer. We’ve been working with Lene Bladbjerg since 2016.
We love the way Lene captures hidden beauty, finding it in even the most mundane of settings. Her simple yet bold colour palette instills her work with vitality and atmosphere, giving character to otherwise simple artworks. Colour is especially important in Lene's silhouette prints, with the ink black of the shadows contrasting with brightly coloured skies and backgrounds. The unnatural colour scheme used in relation to landscape and nature scenes is a unique take on familiar environments.
