ARTIST STORY
London based artist duo STATIC - comprised of two friends Tom Jackson and Craig Evans - have been creating work together for over a decade. Inspired by modern ‘tribes’, mythologies and the collaboration process itself, their work explores themes of duality and conflict through the use of the abstract. We love their bold, figurative assemblages that blend together pattern and portraiture through vivid collage.

STATIC’s mixed media creations quickly grew a substantial following. They have worked with a handful of international galleries and have been commissioned to paint murals both in the UK and Japan. The artistic duo has been exhibited widely across the UK, US, Japan, Singapore, India, and Russia. Tom is a founding member of Wood Street Walls, which has a studio, Wood Street Studios, and is the studio base for STATIC. We’ve been working with STATIC since 2010.

The art duo use contrasting patterns and bold colours in their artwork, refusing to comply with norms and creating art that is boundary-pushing and fresh. Their geometric line work creates a complex maze of lines that you can't help but follow, drawing the eye across the composition.
