‘Postcard Circus Alphabet - 2 pack’ presents two limited edition, lenticular postcards - one black, the other white - onto which the letters of the English alphabet are printed in Eine’s signature font: beautifully decorative, contrasting angular, striated sections, with bouncy curves in a harmonious mix of bright colours that seem to change and merge from different angles, due to the 3D technology of the lenticular printing process.

Ben Eine is one of the world’s most successful letterform artists. When he began to paint his super-sized colourful letters in urban areas, they stood out from other tags and caught the public’s attention, and were fundamental to giving street art credibility. At Pictures On Walls publishing house, Eine and Banksy printed and sold street art along with other collective street artists because, as Eine put it, “There wasn’t one gallery in London or the world that would touch what we were doing”. Eine’s artwork is held in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum London, The Museum of Modern Art Los Angeles, San Francisco’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Berlin’s Urban Nation Street Art Museum, Los Angeles ‘Beyond The Streets’ and The Dean Collection. Additionally, his work is held in the private collection of Louis Vuitton, who he collaborated with for the launch of his clothing brand, Eine London, during London Fashion Week.
We love the way Ben employs bold colours in his letterform artworks. Often only using select block colours, he primarily contrasts dark blacks with striking reds, greens and blues to make his wording pop out from the page, giving each print a 3D feel. It is evident his background as a graffiti writer influences his current typographic style. Ben uses elements of street art to engage ans surprise his audience
