Orange Dusk (1970) by Terry Frost RA
Terry Frost (1915–2003) was an abstract painter known for his association with the St Ives School, along with Ben Nicholson and Patrick Heron. Terry Frost discovered he enjoyed painting while he was a prisoner of war in Germany in 1943. After the war, he used his serviceman’s grant to train as an artist in London.
He developed his signature style of circles and abstract shapes, which he used to convey movement. Inspired by nature and women, Frost's art prints are full of colour and light, which reflect his gratitude and the pleasure of existence at having survived wartime incarceration. His work was exhibited around the world during his life and continues to be featured across many galleries in tribute to his famous paintings.
