Momentary Lapse of Reason, Beds, Pink Floyd, 1987 By Robert Dowling

ÔMomentary Lapse of Reason, Beds, Pink Floyd, 1987Õ is a Photography Print by acclaimed photography Robert Dowling. Shot on 35mm Fuji Crystal Clear Film, the print is from a limited edition of 40.

About The Artist - Robert Dowling

Robert Dowling is an award winning British photographer, known for his contributions to the artwork of iconic album covers. Discovering his passion for photography and film at an early age, Dowling was instrumental in establishing the album cover as a work of art in its own right: an aesthetic production that has just as much to say as the music it contains.

Working with acclaimed art director Storm Thorgerson, Dowling was a master of the analogue process, crafting his images without the aid of photoshop, CGI, and digital enhancements - an art that today’s camera phone generation is fast forgetting. His work with Thorgerson on the cover art for Pink Floyd’s 1987 album, ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’ - an extraordinary, staging of hospital beds on a beach that took two weeks to capture - earned Dowling a gold award at the Association of Photographers Awards.
