About The Artist - David Spiller

David Spiller's art was filled with life and energy. His works use a blend of styles, mixing Pop art - its bright colours, punchy texts and clean lines - with deceptively simple expressionism.

On top of his striking images, he adds another layer in scrawled text that often includes lines from favourite songs such as in 'I've Been Loving you a Long Time'. He has added the lines 'You're a big girl now' and 'like a rolling stone, both borrowed from Bob Dylan.
