The London-based artist and graphic designer Little Fish Design creates playful ‘Pop-Surrealist’ artwork that is both quirky and humorous. The combination of elaborate portraits from the likes of Goya, Velázquez and Fragonard with disparate materials such as sweet wrappers and nostalgic packaging.
The London-based artist and graphic designer Little Fish Design creates playful ‘Pop-Surrealist’ artwork that is both quirky and humorous. The combination of elaborate portraits from the likes of Goya, Velázquez and Fragonard with disparate materials such as sweet wrappers and nostalgic packaging.
This makes for a series of eclectic and entertaining compositions. We love the light-hearted amalgamation of the classical and contemporary, bringing together renaissance-inspired portraiture with advertising icons. Little Fish Design establishes a unique and witty relationship between ostentatious portraiture and mundane food packaging, creating a true blend of high and low art. Little Fish Design has always admired the work of Robert Rauschenberg and Peter Blake and is inspired by the unconventional use of cultural references and commercialised products within their artworks. They take this inspiration as a starting point and play with it further by creating fantastical contemporary pastiches that appeal to the viewer’s sense of humour. The artist says their work developed partly through “growing up in an advertising family where I was always exposed to all sorts of art from a very young age”. We’ve been working with Little Fish Design since May 2020.
We love the light-hearted amalgamation of the classical and contemporary, bringing together renaissance-inspired portraiture with advertising icons. Little Fish Design establishes a unique and witty relationship between ostentatious portraiture and mundane food packaging, creating a true blend of high and low art. The eclectic nature of each artwork evokes the nostalgic joy of vintage branding and the joyful unpredictability of merging these famous logos with classical artworks. It's hard not to fall in love with Little Fish Design's unusual compositions.

How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?
We aim to dispatch unframed artworks within 10 working days of receiving your order. Postage within the UK takes around 1-3 working days. Custom framed items are usually dispatched within 21 working days of receiving your order. For more information, see our delivery page.
What is your returns policy?
Once you receive your artwork, you have 14 days to return it and get a full refund if you're not happy. If you would like to return an artwork, please contact us first at support@artrepublic.com. It is your responsibility to cover the return postage. Our returns' policy excludes items that are hand-made to order, such as artwork that has been framed, purchased as part of a timed release, or commissioned. These can only be returned if they are faulty.
How much does delivery cost?
