ARTIST STORY
Storm Thorgerson (1944-2013) was a British graphic designer best known for his album covers for Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. We love the way he mixed surreal elements with reality, by placing everyday objects out of their traditional context. By establishing objects outside of their normal reference points, often in vast landscapes, he jointly made them appear awkward while showcasing their innate beauty.

Although he created numerous album covers for Pink Floyd, Thorgerson also collaborated with various other musical artists such as Black Sabbath, Yes, The Alan Parsons Project, The Cranberries, and Phish on their album art. He was once quoted saying, “I like to mess with reality… to bend reality. Some of my works beg the question of - is it real or not?”
