This artwork forms one of a pair of complementary prints, Drifting Skeleton and Still Skeleton, which are particularly dramatic when hung together. Both are available with either a white or a black background. This is from a limited edition of 275, each of which are signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
We watch as the skeletal being steps out of its everyday skin, and embraces the cacophony of emotions associated with the act of travelling; emotions swept along by the mind in a cloudburst of anticipation, impatience and nervous excitement. They are deeply felt - right down to the bone - whilst the head is literally up in the clouds, immersed in a surrealist adventure. Time stretches and contracts as inescapable jet lag plays havoc with circadian rhythms.

Kristjana lives and works in West London, and is an Icelandic artist whose work is inspired by her childhood growing up looking over Iceland’s diverse yet stark landscapes of black sand and frozen seas.
Her artworks are inspired by her love of wildlife, maps and botanical engravings. We love the way her mystical and modern artwork incorporates digital and physical layering of nature upon nature, intertwining foliage with insects in a technique that aims to mirror our world of living things. Kristjana graduated from Central St Martins with a degree in graphic design and illustration. She was the Creative Director of Beyond the Valley, a fashion and design store in West London. She has won numerous awards including a D&AD award, Clio Award, and a first prize at New York Festivals Grand Prix. Additionally, she has collaborated with multiple brands including Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Liberty’s of London, Penhaligon’s, Paul Smith, V&A, and London’s Shard. We’ve been working with Kristjana S Williams since 2016.
