John Angerson

John started his career in the early 1990s with attention to the different languages of documentary photography, focusing on how specific communities form, shift and develop. He now splits his time between shooting personal projects, teaching at various Universities and shooting features and portraiture for a range of magazines, charities, and design agencies. John's work has been shown in exhibitions across the UK and Europe and his various books have been sold across three continents.

We love how John's sharp, focused photographs seemingly capture a split-second moment in time. Each of his photographs are a snapshot of an unexplained and often bizarre scene, leaving the viewer to fill in the blanks and build their own narrative. From his disparate landscapes to his portraits of famous figures, John leaves the audience wanting more information, whether that be of where the photography was taken or what's happening behind the camera.

Limited Edition

So you’ve found your perfect limited edition artwork, but what does this actually mean? Limited editions are original artworks that an artist creates in a particular print medium, such as a giclée print, screen print or photograph. Our limited edition artworks are specifically created by our talented artists with a maximum edition number in mind. The term ‘limited edition’ refers to the total number of artworks that are available for that particular piece. The edition size can vary widely between artworks, however most of the time our artists create editions in small numbers ranging from 10 to a few hundred.

Photography has continuously been redefined by new technologies and formats, proving itself to be a timeless artform. From colour photography to digital darkrooms, it is an ever changing medium that has the ability to add character to any home. At Art Republic, we have a flourishing community of photography artists that use their art to transport us to all corners of the globe, inviting us to see the world through their lens. We are committed to connecting artists with art lovers who appreciate the stories they tell, so if you’re looking for the perfect fit for your home, our photography artworks are the place to start.
