Jo is a painter, muralist and filmmaker who lives and works in Sheffield, UK. However, she has worked all over the world, striving to capture the essence of different cities in her work. Jo finds beauty in the urban landscape, with her distinctive illustrations telling the story of forgotten buildings lost within the overwhelming architecture of big cities.
Jo is a painter, muralist and filmmaker who lives and works in Sheffield, UK. However, she has worked all over the world, striving to capture the essence of different cities in her work. Jo finds beauty in the urban landscape, with her distinctive illustrations telling the story of forgotten buildings lost within the overwhelming architecture of big cities.
We love how Jo captures the beauty of these metropolitan spaces, breathing life into landmarks with her graphic linework and bright washes of colour. From the tower blocks of London to the suburbs of Cambodian cities, Jo’s work is a love letter to the beauty of the urban metropolis. Jo’s murals can be found in every corner of the world in countries such as Brazil, Japan and the UK. She has also worked with a variety of high profile brands and organisations, including Chanel, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the Chelsea Flower Show and The South Bank Centre.
