Words on Stuff 03

I was going to write something deep and meaningful but it's all just words on stuff. This run is taken from a beautifully illustrated 16 colour plated book from the 1950s with a hand-pulled, metallic bronze ink screenprinted over the top. The book was gifted to Jo Colin on his 10th birthday from Linda (information taken from a handwritten note on the inside of the book) and can now be yours to enjoy for many years to come. Due to the up-cycled nature of the 'Words on stuff' series, expect to see evidence of a past life well lived on each piece of paper printed on.

James Kingman

James is a London-based contemporary street artist who is primarily inspired by design and Pop culture. With a tendency to blend raw outputs with more controlled elements, he creates engaging adorations and tongue-in-cheek reflections on contemporary society. Coming from the world of design, with over a decade of experience in the creative industry applying his trade to leading agencies and brands, James has turned his attention back to creating his own art. James’ work has been displayed in galleries across the UK.

We love James's experimentation with bold colour, and his original take on pop culture classics using neon inks that make for a visually stunning and varied body of work. James’s work is an amalgamation of influences from Swiss design to the Bauhaus movement to street art. The artist claims that “the driving force behind each composition always comes back to the freedom of creative expression and the platform to communicate messages.”
