Electric Dreams Roya is a 6 Layer Screenprint with unique gradient detail, all hand-pulled and Printed on South Bank course 310 gsm by James Kingman. From a limited edition of 30, this piece is signed, numbered, dated and embossed. James says: ''Electric Dreams started from a lucid dream and my journey in recreating it. Exploring what influences dreams, I mused about the person featured in the piece and to what degree she existed - If she did at all.The creative process reached a tidy circle when I began experimenting with AI to create people to feature - these models exist, but only in the dreams of AI. It became clear I was playing with the imagination of a machine, much like I was with my own lucid dream. These artworks are the Electric Dreams between AI and myself.

We love James’ experimentation with bold colour and his original take on pop culture classics using neon inks. James’ work is an amalgamation of influences, from Swiss design to Bahaus to street art. The artist claims that “the driving force behind each composition always comes back to the freedom of creative expression and the platform to communicate messages.” Coming from the world of design, with over a decade of experience in the creative industry applying his trade to leading agencies and brands, James has turned his attention back to creating his own art. Pulling his first screenprint in July 2020, James has gone on to showcase his work at The Other Art Fair, DCon and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair as well as displaying at various galleries across the UK and Europe. We’ve been working with James Kingman since 2021.
