‘I Love You Very Much’ is a stunning Silkscreen from highly sought after contemporary artist Peter Blake. This show stopping silkscreen and mixed media piece has collaged wood veneer, 3D wooden hand-painted elements, LED lights, embossing, diamond dust, gold leaf and glazes. ‘I Love You Very Much’ is from a Limited Edition of 25 and signed and numbered by the artist.
Peter Blake has a fascination in lettering and uses different typefaces and fonts in many of his works. He studied typography and typesetting at Gravesend School of Art and this often influences his work and allows him to question the gap between fine art and commercial art. ‘I Love You Very Much’ is an attempt to make print editions that include real elements in his work and in this piece some of the letters are lit up like fairground signs, some made of wood and also wood veneer, diamond dust and embossing giving this piece something truly special.
