Hayden Kays is an artist whose work amuses, astounds and inspires with his distinctive style and exquisitely sardonic sense of humour. Representing the next generation of Young British Artists, his work encompasses painting, sculpture and printmaking. Each discipline demonstrates classically-trained techniques, married with a contemporary perspective and satirical punchlines. His witticisms and manipulation of colour are spellbinding – blending bold imagery with acerbic word-play, earning him critical acclaim and notoriety within the art establishment and beyond. He is also an artist to the stars - with works held in the private collections of celebrities including Harry Styles, Jude Law, Matt Smith, Lily James, Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence. His work has been exhibited at prestigious galleries including the Royal Academy of Arts and Saatchi Gallery. He is displayed alongside Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Sir Peter Blake on the walls of London’s Groucho Club as part of its renowned permanent collection.Other exhibitions that have enjoyed both critical and commercial success include stops in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Los Angles, Hong Kong, Dubai and London. His first published book ‘Hayden Kays is an Artist’ was launched at the Freud Museum and declared ‘a seriously good-looking book’ by Banksy, who provided a quote for the cover.Hayden is compelled to respond to the world by creating art that reflects his interpretation of our culture and society back to those who view it. His art is about creating conversations with a wider audience, both directly and amongst the audience themselves.
