Hummingbird - Orange (Oil Painting on Linen Signed Original) by Dave White
Hummingbird - Orange (Oil Painting on Linen Signed Original) by Dave White

This is a stunning signed original canvas of a jewel like humming bird, carefully crafted in the most fabulous oil paints by Dave White. Dave Whites unique, spontaneous and vigorous use of paint adds an immediacy and sense of organic life to all that he depicts. This work also has added gold so when the piece catches the light it really comes to life. This was one of the works shown in Dave White's Natural Selection show put on by artrepublic in June 2012. The show featured a collection of works featuring images of endangered animals.

About The Artist - Dave White

Dave White is a contemporary British artist who is best known for his striking oil and watercolour pieces that illustrate the dynamism and emotion of his animal subjects. White excels in capturing the vividness of animals and injects them with a vibrant energy that is unique to his work.
We love White’s ability to use abstract marks such as paint splashes and dripping to create a coherent image that breathes life into the subject.

White graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA in Fine Art. He is recognised as a pioneer of the ‘Sneaker Art’ movement, and is one of the only artists to have his own signature Nike Jordans release. White has since moved from shoes to canvas, and over the last decade White has focused on using his art to promote endangered species and global warming. White says of this passion: “my work represents the fragile balance of order and chaos in the natural world and the impact we are having on our environment”. In 2018, White participated in a London-wide art installation organised by wildlife charity Tusk to raise awareness of the plight of the rhino. The artist’s work Fragile was displayed on New Bond Street and then auctioned off for charity at a Christie’s event. White has exhibited his work in numerous cities such as Shanghai, New York, Dallas and London, and enjoys an illustrious international career.
