Dylan predominantly uses drawn media to create his pieces. His work focuses on animals and natural world and, touching on themes of myth and storytelling, explores our relationship with and our perception of our world and of the creatures that inhabit it. Presented as a style of portraiture his unique, hand-drawn images depict the power and the beauty of his subjects, but also represent their mysterious and secretive side. Dylan Floyd cleverly balances abstract patterns with figurative detail to create amusing, intriguing and compelling contemporary art. Dylan Floyd is a self-taught artist who started his career painting on street walls in the dead of night. From the street to the studio, Floyd creates unique mixed media originals and superb giclee limited editions inspired by graphic novels, religious icons, children's stories, animals and patterns.
