We love her use of bold colour palettes and detailed depictions of figures. She typically starts with an old photograph as her initial source of inspiration before painting. Ruth graduated from the Glasgow School of Art, where she studied painting. Ruth has exhibited across the UK and abroad, including a recent exhibition in Santa Monica, California. Of her work, she has said: “I usually paint with oils and I dedicate a lot of time to the process of simply mixing and combining colours, hence the highly unique and distinctive palette you can see in my work.” We’ve been working with Ruth Mulvie since 2017.
