ARTIST STORY
Frances Featherstone lives and works in East Sussex, UK, and is a contemporary artist who works in oil paints. We love how her paintings capture the brilliance of landscapes, visually recreating the transcendent experience of looking out at infinite space from an airplane window.

Of her artwork, the artist has said: “What I have always been fascinated by are the interweaving journeys that we are on as ordinary people in the modern world. And in my paintings, I try to capture the vibrancy of the urban landscape and at the same time the narratives of the individuals moving within them.” Frances graduated with a First Class honours degree in Fine Art from the University of the West of England, Bristol. She has exhibited across the UK. She is the winner of Sky Portrait of the Week in 2020 and was shortlisted as ‘Artist and Illustrators’ magazine artist of 2019. Additionally, she has participated in various artistic competitions and shows. We’ve been working with Frances Featherstone since 2020.
We love how Frances' paintings capture the brilliance of landscapes, visually recreating the transcendent experience of looking out at infinite space from an airplane window. Her artworks have us craving a holiday and jetting off on an unknown adventure. Frances successfully captures the giddy excitement and peaceful tranquility that comes with being high in the air. We are left wondering where the artist is taking us, and what Frances has planned for her mysterious adventures.
