This Dave White limited edition is a 16 colour silkscreen with varnish. Printed on Somerset Smooth 400 gsm fine art paper with a deckled edge, the print features a spectacular white diamond dust background. Dave White has signed and numbered each print in the limited edition of 50 on the reverse of the print. Renowned for his depiction of endangered creatures, contemporary painter Dave White tackles one of the world's most powerful aquatic predators, the great white shark, in this staggering artwork. In an interview in The Independent, Dave White explained, "Obviously great whites have a nasty reputation, but in actual fact they're fragile and beautiful. I want people to look at how rare they are - that's the crux of it all." This stunning print comes in a handmade frame made smooth matt white wooden boxed frame crafted by our framers.

We love White’s ability to use abstract marks such as paint splashes and dripping to create a coherent image that breathes life into the subject. White graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA in Fine Art. He is recognised as a pioneer of the ‘Sneaker Art’ movement, and is one of the only artists to have his own signature Nike Jordans release. White has since moved from shoes to canvas, and over the last decade White has focused on using his art to promote endangered species and global warming. White says of this passion: “my work represents the fragile balance of order and chaos in the natural world and the impact we are having on our environment”. In 2018, White participated in a London-wide art installation organised by wildlife charity Tusk to raise awareness of the plight of the rhino. The artist’s work Fragile was displayed on New Bond Street and then auctioned off for charity at a Christie’s event. White has exhibited his work in numerous cities such as Shanghai, New York, Dallas and London, and enjoys an illustrious international career.
