Animals are a big inspiration for Hannah, particularly her own dachshund Minnie Moomin. We love how Hannah combines this with her fondness for all things kitsch and camp, resulting in a fun fusion of influences that never fail to make you smile. Hannah is a Fine Art Painting Graduate but she didn’t pursue a career in the arts straight out of university. Instead, Hannah kickstarted a career in retail and Fashion PR but became disillusioned with her office job. The artist says: “it was only when I had my son and we left London that I really took stock and realised I missed art and wanted my own business to fit around being a mum to my two children”. Hannah then set up her own print studio from her home and used her self-taught screen printing skills to create her joyful artworks. After being selected for Print Club London’s 2018 exhibition Blisters, she launched her own collection and the rest is history! We have been working with Hannah Carvell since 2021.
