A future fossil dating from the Anthropocene epoch. Iconic footprints that record the evidence of humanity and the trail blazers that created them.

'Future Fossils - Ichnike' is a hand-carved sculpture by Dan David. From a limited edition of 25, this sculpture is signed and numbered by the artist. This sculpture is presented in a bespoke box, and comes ready to hang with fixes attached on the reverse.

About The Artist - Dan David

Dan David is an award winning sculptor and stone carver based in Norwich.
He trained at Bath and qualified in 1995. His work is informed by an abiding interest in developing new languages in stone carving: demonstrating curiosity and humour and exploring the relationship between traditional techniques and contemporary visual culture.

This experimental approach, investigating the interplay between materiality,
concept and scale, marks a shift in conventional practices with stone, as he
playfully scrutinises the tension between the images he chooses to represent
– temporary symbols of their time – and the permanence of the material and
its historic associations.
