Minimalism Red Yellow
Piet Mondrian (1872 –1944) was one of the founders of the Dutch modern movement De Stijl - an avant-garde dedicated to isolating a single visual style that would be appropriate to all aspects of modern life, from art to design to architecture.
Due to his appeal with the different forms, and his ability to create wart prints that touched so many people, he was a leader in progressive styles and change in form. He is universally recognised due to the fact that his art work was published around the world, and that so many of his famous pieces were housed in different parts of the world including in the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the Tate Gallery in London.
