About The Artist - Kristjana S Williams

We’ve been working with Kristjana S Williams since 2016.

Kristjana was born in Reykjavik and says she spent much of her childhood looking out over Iceland’s spartan landscape of black sand and frozen seas, dreaming of new worlds filled with abundant animal and plant life. This wanderlust fostered a love of maps and botanical engravings which inspires her compositions today. We love the digital and physical layering of nature upon nature, intertwining foliage with insects in a technique that aims to mirror our world of living things.

After completing a degree in graphic design and illustration at Central St Martins in London, Kristjana began to develop her trademark tableaus that have since become the foundation of her work. With an aesthetic that is both mystical and modern, Kristjana is popular with art collectors and heritage brands alike. Collaborations include brands such as Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, Chanel and the Connaught Hotel.
