Choose Your Weapon (Dark Orange)' (Silkscreen Signed Limited Edition of 25)

Banksy's Choose Your Weapon was originally released in the run up to Christmas 2010. This colourway represents several special editions of only 25 that were released in varying colours seperate to the standard edition of 100. Each colourway is signed by Banksy in pencil matching the colour of the print (a nice touch we think). It is for sale unframed, in perfect condition, complete with Pest Control certificate of authenticity. The image first appeared on the street in London, 2010 and continues Banksy's blatent referencing of artists that (we can only assume) have infuenced his work. The dog is produced in the syle of 80's graffiti legend Keith Haring. The stark contrast between the man and his dog is the most striking contradiction in this piece. The man represents the disaffected youth that features so prominently in British pop culture. The hooded sweatshirt with the cowl covering the head and bandanna hiding the young mans face both appear menacing. The dog in the print, chained and barking upwardly, becomes the young mans weapon. Rather than a weapon such as a knife or firearm, this mans weapon is mans best friend.Click these words to find similar printsFrom Our Galleries Limited Edition Street Art
