Just How New Are The Emperor's Clothes

'Just How New Are The Emporors Clothes' is a stunning digital collage by contemporary artist Charlie Haydn Taylor. From a limited edition of 10, this print is signed and numbered by the artist.

About The Artist - Charlie Haydn Taylor

When looking into Haydn Taylor’s style of work, which is described as Digital Pop Art, it becomes clear that there are a number of social commentaries that appear throughout, ranging from comments on mental health to comments on the nature of the art world itself.

Having studied at Goldsmiths, University of London for his BA, he got to experience many of the social issues of the modern world first hand with London being a such a diverse place culturally and economically.

His work has been influenced by a number of artists ranging from the early British Pop Artists such as Richard Hamilton and Peter Blake to American pop artist Andy Warhol and YBA Damien Hirst, many of which have pieces that feature within his own works as art historical references relating back to the subject matter.

Previously, he has featured work internationally alongside pieces by blue-chip artists such as Tracey Emin, Banksy and Julian Opie. What he wants to achieve with his work is to bring to the forefront the variety of different issues that exist within society and to challenge the views of those that see his work.
