Bombs Away (Diamond Dust), Four layer screenprint finished with Diamond Dust by Charles Edgar

Bombs Away (Diamond Dust) is a screenprint with diamond dust on Somerset Smooth 300gsm paper by Charles Edgar. From an edition of 5, each print is signed and numbered by the artist.

The artist says of this series: "Fascinated by the resurgence and success of Pixel art that has taken the NFT scene by storm I was interested in incorporating this simple yet powerful style into a new print series. As a new way of graphic computer processing in the early eighties the simplicity of the lines, colours and images you can create using an 8-bit Pixel approach lends itself extremely well to creating bold and iconic images for a printing medium. To release this new series ‘Pixel Love’ I have chosen very simple yet recognizable images to create ‘Bombs Away’, ‘Love Heart’ and ‘Cherry Drop’ (with a small limited edition set of Diamond Dusted prints available!). ‘Pixel Love’ is a new direction from some of my previous styles of work however it is one in which I have many many more ideas for. I will be releasing a number of new Pixel inspired editions over the coming months. Watch this space."

About The Artist - Charles Edgar

Charles Edgar is an emerging artist based in South East London. Edgars’ art is characterised by prints that focus on striking portrait imagery, bold colours and a mix of editions that ironically and comically comment on cultural and social affairs.

His first piece ‘IMADEYOUANAUTHENTICPRINTBECAUSEILIVEINHACKNEY’ sparked a move from stencilling and has developed into a comprehensive collection of screen prints. A collection that has found its way into galleries around London.

With no formal art education Edgar started printing in a studio in Hackney and now prints out of his home studio in Croydon.
