‘Caught By the Nest - Series #3 Boxset’ is a set of 5 Silkscreen Prints by contemporary artist duo Kai and Sunny. Printed onto 300gsm Somerset Velvet Paper with, the set is from a limited edition of 50 and is signed end numbered by the artist.

Art collective Kai and Sunny create beautiful limited edition prints, inspired by nature but rendered through abstraction. Building on intricate, geometric forms, their work foregrounds texture and perspective with artistic prowess, for a distinctive and compelling aesthetic.

‘Caught By the Nest - Series #3 Boxset’ is an extraordinary series of greyscale prints, which merge digital style with a sense of organicism.> Thin, greyscale lines combine and interconnect on each edition, to create mesmerising, striated surfaces, which ripple gently across the print with an illusionistic, 3-dimensional clarity, producing abstract and hypnotic images of dandelion clocks, lotus flowers, and bird’s nests.

Enclosed in a black, embossed box, the set also features an exclusive short story from award winning novelist David Mitchell, author of the acclaimed novel, Cloud Atlas.

About The Artist - Kai and Sunny

Kai & Sunny are a London-based art duo. They both graduated from the Epsom School of Art in Surrey, United Kingdom with degrees in Art and Design. They have collaborated with author David Mitchell, designer Alexander McQueen, artist Shepard Fairey and have won numerous accolades, including a 2012 D&AD Design Award and a 2015 LIA award. Works by Kai & Sunny have been exhibited internationally at institutions such as Haunch of Venison, Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York and are included in the Victoria & Albert Museum Print Archive Collection.

Although they have different skills, their approach feels 50/50 and lead to them creating an intricate, natural and sometimes sinister style almost inspired by nature. If you wonder how they manage to create a single art print together, their process is to come up with ideas together and then figure out between them on how to achieve the creation, until they get to a stage that they are both happy with.
