Kelly Sweeney is a London based artist who studied at Nottingham Trent University and The Chelsea School of Art where she completed an MA. Since graduating, she has exhibited at Zeitgeist 2014 (London), Office Sessions Part I (London) and Painted Surfaces (Nottingham). In 2014 the artist was shortlisted for the Bloomsberg New Contemporaries Award - and in the same year she was awarded the Patrons Bursary from UAL. Kelly Sweeney mostly works from pen and ink drawings as an initial starting point. Her scribbled art prints are illustrative in style and draw from what she identifies as the quirky facets of nature for inspiration.
