The tropical print depicts a tropical landscape with palm trees, shallow water and a flamboyance of flamingos, balancing against a pale blue sky. Over the vista, the title 'Flamingo!' is superimposed in big block letters, gently laced with a soft, blue, 'Paint by Numbers' pattern. Bright and poppy, the print subverts the picture postcard, both offering and withholding a tantalising space within.
I create artwork that opens up a sense of possibility within the viewer, like a child walking into a sweet shop. Growing up in the rural spaces of Snowdonia, but spending much of my adult life in London, My work is full of playful juxtapositions.

Benjamin lives and works in London, UK. We love his bright, joyful paintings that capture landscapes, blending elements of the rural with the urban. A familiar style within his artwork is large lettering superimposed over exotic landscapes.
