We love how Ben uses a variety of different materials such as spray paint, acrylic paint and markers to successfully capture the bold and chaotic nature of the modern era. The emotional response of the viewer is also extremely important for Ben. He says of this: “I want them to find something they connect with - visually and emotionally”. Ben views his work as an unconscious extension of his own mood and energy, which is reflected in each gestural stroke of the brush. Ben was born in Brighton, but now lives and works in Cornwall. The artist's dynamic paintings have garnered him a strong celebrity following, with collectors including the likes of Gordon Ramsey, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Richard Branson. His work has also been featured in The Times, The Observer, GQ Magazine, and Time Out, amongst other major publications. We’ve been working with Ben Allen since 2008.
