‘A Faceless Beauty’ is a Giclée Print by photorealist artist Zoe Moss. From a limited edition of 75, the print is signed and numbered by the artist.

Contemporary artist Zoe Moss works at the intersection of fine art and photography, to produce a powerful photorealist aesthetic. Her prints focus on the iconic - from superhero to celebrity - with a humorous twist: creating mini narratives and adding off-kilter elements, Moss’s work explores the modern-day obsession with the cult of the icon in striking form.

A Faceless Beauty’ depicts a young, stylish woman, clad all in black and squatting in the centre of the print. A strip of gold leaf sits beneath her hat and thick fringe while, in her hands is classed sits her face, misplaced between her legs. Set against Moss’s signature soft-pink background, the image is both comic and iconic, with its bold visual appeal and smart conceptual prowess.

About The Artist - Zoe Moss

Zoë is a born and bred Londoner. Predominantly a realist oil painter, she has exhibited in galleries such as the Royal academy, Cork street and Saatchi gallery, amongst others. Her third solo show, in 2017, saw her drawings and painting of famous icons and superheroes juxtaposed playfully with everyday items and events. Most recently, Moss organised and curated the group show ‘Poppin’ which was a great success. She is currently organising the second show of this nature.

After her parents passed away quite recently, her work, whilst retaining its satirical pop art narrative and style, has focused on incorporating their memory and creativity into all subsequent works. After creating photorealist oil paintings of film icons and ‘messing with the surface’, Moss has recently started her latest series of paintings of art collections whilst inserting her own painting within the image. This is done to reflect her frustration with both the art world and fact she can no longer show her parents her work. At the same time Moss uses humour and an element of surrealist satire to deliver her message.
